Behind the Fun-Fair-Positive Soccer complex is one of several entrances to a 10+ mile hike & bike trail running along a flood control channel.

Running 10.75 miles, the paved trail runs from Highland Knolls at Fry Road through George Bush Park to Highway 6 and connects to Terry Hersey Park. Hours are from dawn to dusk.

Pets are allowed, but only if leashed. Glass containers, alcoholic beverages, and motorized vehicles are not allowed.

Within the park you will find many types of birds, from grey and white cranes to cardinals, fish, and small mammals. Be careful, the area is prime for snakes and spiders were out in force when I was there.

A PDF map of the entire George Bush Park is available on the Harris County website.
